After his recovery, the series resumed production
Synopsis
A retired CIA agent is stalked by both the agency he once worked for and his own nightmares when a stranger suddenly visits him after nearly three decades. Production was halted in March 2020 due to government restrictions. During this time, Jeff Bridges was diagnosed and treated for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Season 1 was awesome
Bridges referred to the return as a “long weekend” comeback on a podcast in July 2022. Featured in the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards (2024). This will be a short review.
Well, I know that’s what I wanted to see anyway
In fact, the first few episodes were just epic, Jeff Bridges is sublime. It totally keeps you on the edge of your seat to see what happens next. A good backstory and he’s kicking ass, which, let’s face it, is what we want to see from this so-called old man.
Very disappointing so far
It also delivered on par. Unfortunately, season 2 started out as a completely different series, slow, boring, with a bad story, I’d almost go so far as to say, bad acting from Lithgow. Simply the opposite of everything that was great about season 1.
